An interesting thing about work experience… When I was in my 20s, I had a hard time getting a job because I didn’t have any experience. Then, when I was in my late 50s, I was laid off. Even though I had plenty of experience by that time, I couldn’t get a job because now I was too old. (Age-based discrimination is illegal, but it still happens.) What, exactly do employers want?
I remember that “you have no experience” thing. Then when you start getting jobs you find out it only takes about two days (or two minutes) of experience to do them.
