Haven’t seen any comments from the gun violence advocates about this incident.

Not even about how six year olds have second amendment rights, like everyone else.

My best guess, Mom is going to jail for leaving a gun accessible for the child to access. Dad should probably go to prison too, but since it was Mom’s gun won’t be arrested for his part. Either way, this child needs to be put into a better home far away from both, and one that doesn’t view guns as an answer to their insecurities.

You know that’s exactly what they wanted to say in public, but their PR staff advised otherwise.

The parents failed to secure their firearms. This is on them.

The NRA used to have the Eddie Eagle program that taught firearm safety to children.

Do we think the NRA secretly celebrates mass shootings because they make gun sales go up?

The NRA is now gonna lobby for 6 year olds to buy AK-47s as the teacher survived and that is not acceptable!!

It was unfortunate there was not a good guy handy that could have shot that 6 year old kid. Definitely proves that more folk should be carrying guns to take care of situations like this. /S

I saw where the mother, who owned the gun, can be charged with a misdemeanor. Wow. She should be charged with attempted murder.

Yeah the gun cowards have been using that brain-dead argument since the 70’s. I remember the bumper stickers gun cowards had on their cars, saying “If guns are outlawed only criminals will have guns.” That is probably the dumbest oxymoron I have ever seen or heard. If guns are outlawed NOBODY will have guns, including criminals. What a bunch of cowardly idiots.

That first grade teacher had it coming. Thank God for this brave 6 year old Christian patriot for trying to protect his classmates from that groomer. She won’t be using her pronouns again in the classroom anytime soon, or ever if we get our way.

The 6 yr old brought the gun to school and shot the teacher. Granted, he is too young to understand the consequences. I would hope the court makes certain the child (and his parents?) receives therapy from a reputable therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist.

Why did the little tot think it was okay to do such a thing? His home life needs to be investigated. My guess is WOKESTERS won’t like what is found.

Well, it is true that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” doesn’t mention any age limits. I think that the gun situation in America today is horrible, but I’m stupendously fond of the rule of law, where we can’t (or at least shouldn’t be able to) just bend and twist words to fit the preferences of the moment or some politically motivated jurist. (No, Anthony Kennedy, corporations are not people!) The problem is that the 2nd Amendment is overbroad, but I don’t see how we can fix that short of a Constitutional amendment, and it’s hard enuf to get simple laws passed, let alone something as challenging as revising the 2nd Amendment, even if we could get anyone to agree on what sort of policy we’d put in its place.
