Anyone in a quilted jacket in July is going to be hot, just not the sort of hot she has in mind.

Ditch the ‘old lady’ glasses and you’ll have one hot mama!

When will Val realise that her reaction to her mother’s desire to be “hot” or simply smart & up-to-date is just the same as Holly’s reaction to her? (as someone who is in the 60’s age bracket and has a nice, trendy hair cut)

gmartin997 - it’s nothing to do with lost youth, just with feeling good about yourself and to hell with anyone else:)

I don’t think that is a quilt jacket. My own mom would never dress like that evan at that age. She has kept the same hair style since childhood. Rolls her hair. She is 84. Also has clothes 30 years old a few newer. Weighs less now then in her 20’s. I can’t say that about me. Although I tried to be withit with my own daughter who is 23.

She may be elderly but she’s not dead yet! Why should she sit in a rocking chair knitting? Let her enjoy what’s left of her life.

@oldpossum; I agree with you 500%. You said everything I was going to say, only you expressed it better.

@Macushlalondra; Some of us like knitting! It has become very fashionable, with all ages. Even (gasp) crochet. Both are being used to make very fashionable items - clothes as well as other stuff. AND - if you can believe this - even some MEN are taking up these techniques!
