    Yes, it was. When they opened stores on the west coast that turned out be THE treat one needed to bring to school, office, etc.

    Now, not so much.

    We had a Krispy Kreme in Colorado Springs. It lasted less than 2 months.

    More processed garbage from a giant corporate chain.

    Want doughnuts? Go to your local family-run shop that makes them fresh on the premises daily. Forget about Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts and their ilk, whose products come frozen off a semi truck, are reheated and sold deceptively as “made every day, right here in our store.”

    Support your local economy and small businesses. They are more deserving of your patronage.
