This reminds me of the time we had a fundraiser day at school. We had to pay £1.00 to wear our normal clothes instead of our uniform and we had some games and a cake sale. The day ended with a Karaoke session in the school hall where we had a stage. The best song sung by far was when one of the girls got up and sang “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd. The looks on the faces on some of the older teachers, especially the Nuns (it was a Catholic Girls’ school) when she started singing “We don’t need need no education we don’t need no forced control”. was priceless.
@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , the way Flo pushes our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is priceless :o) my avatar is a picture of an SUV owned by the mob and impounded by the law is being used against the cooks, how was your day? ours was very busy even tho we had no shopping to do or errands to run and being both in a fairly good mood , we had to find all the Christmas decorations stay safe an thanks for caring young Lady

You would think the free drinks would be enough to keep Andy in live, at least until the evening is over

Doesn’t Andy realize that this antic could get Flo fired and then he might be FORCED to actually get a job to support them?

Flo’s purse will be empty with no paycheck coming in. Andy will have to dry out.

I’ve worked for several companies whose workers belonged to unions. One of the “rules” that all of us followed was no discussion of them.

Andy could do the Dropkick Murphys for an encore:

On second thought, probably NOT!

Does Flo actually work for a bottle manufacturer or did her employer just rent the Bottlemaker facilities for the event.?

Never heard of the Strawbs before. It’s amazing what you can learn from reading Andy Capp.
