My parents never had cable, and I never really wanted it…I enjoyed building things and reading books, and there were no commercials for either of those things :)

I always got into trouble for reading with a flashlight, under the covers, past my bedtime.

I loved reading when I was little (and now) and when I did watch tv I was fine watching cartoons on our three channels. I’m ready to give up cable myself.
