I make my guac using different kinds of salsa(pico de gallo) and putting a hearty spoonful of sour cream or cottage cheese in it. I don’t use the powdered mixes. For a different texture sometimes I will sprinkle on a little grated Parmesan.
Gotta watch what you say to the parents. In high school I was invited (along with several others) to the home of a girl I liked. In the course of a conversation with her mother, I casually mentioned that I was an atheist. She totally lost it, going off at me in a hysterical rant.
Being a nice Jewish boy, I didn’t realize we’d all been invited over for Easter Sunday.

I will eat guacamole, but only occasionally. I much prefer salsa.
