You say that like it’s a bad thing,

A lot of Great Danes look like Marmaduke so how do they know it was him?

The more likely scenario is that he was leaving deposits that he did not bury.

Marm defense; You always yell at me for digging in our own yard.

Maybe because he is the only great Dane in the neighborhood

Wonder if they have videos, but in any case, Marm looks guilty!

I hope Marm knows a good lawyer!

So he left something. It’s not like he took something. Besides, what about the squirrels? They not only leave things. They take, when they remember. Those new trees are always placed in the best locations.
