What do you want to give Ukraine, Rogers? I’m all in on the Mig-29’s but other than the 17,000 Javelins untold MANPADS what else? Too late to Un mothball the USS Iowa and stick it in the Black Sea.
Too often in the past, countries quickly, rashly declared war, often by monarchs. Today, everything moves at lightning speed, leaving little, if any, time to think. Once those buttons are pushed, there is no going back. As much as we need to stop Putin (and China, N. Korea, and Iran) Washington and the Pentagon must look at ALL possible avenues, and be prepared for the worst if even one of these rogue states makes a move.
Off topic again today: Yesterday I advocated getting rid of our semi-annual fit of clock-changing insanity. Today I discovered there’s a ray of hope: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-senate-approves-bill-that-would-make-daylight-savings-time-permanent-2023-2022-03-15/
Upon encountering the above article, I was immediately reminded of this: https://youtu.be/BBZ7AfZR9xs
Rob rogers fu all to hell! We may end up more involved, but we’re dealing with nukes you moRan. Not to mention the s&$T we’ve provided ain’t no super soaker
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a complex issue not subject to simplistic thinking—or solutions. Putin thought it was a simple-to-complicated matter and got burned by that.
We will work through possibilities and alternatives in the coming days and weeks. Some will work, others will not. You cannot possibly see the solutions from here, so we have to wade into them. Sanctions are a significant part of that strategy. We’ll see what works and what does not.

So… you WANT to go to war with a nuclear armed super power run by someone who isn’t playing with a full deck?

Hey, Rob, isn’t the West giving Ukraine military weapons? Did we give Hungary weapons back in 1956 when it was invaded by Russia?

What is your alternative suggestion, Rogers? I’m assuming that you never even passed by a military base.
