As usual, Danziger ignores / does not want to admit to the positives to owning an electric car. Besides, I would trust an electric car a hell of a lot more than I would one of those self-driving cars.
Sometime back in the early 60s I read that the richest man in the world was worth four billion dollars. Even adjusted for inflation he would be only worth the equivalent of 40 billion. That’s peanuts compared to Musk, Bezos, or Gates.
I’ll pass on a Tesla and get a hybrid. We’ll look at Consumer Reports and other sources before we buy, of course. The car afterward will likely be electric.

It’s the “coming back” part that’s troublesome.

I would not buy a car that some egomaniac entrepreneur could turn off on a whim.

Tesla S gets low ratings for reliability, but Musk is venerated by the Russians.

And the money comes from us, out of our pockets, one way or another.
