I was at a Foreigner concert once, where everyone was standing, and when I lifted one foot (either one) off the ground, it would vibrate like a tuning fork.
I could never understand the benefits of a live concert or live band at a dance. Pre-Covid we had weekly swing dances. The DJ would play a mix of great songs to dance to. Once a month he’d bring in a live band which doubled the number of people who came. Most of the new people couldn’t actually dance anything but freestyle, so they just got in the way of us serious dancers. Also, I had to use ear plugs because they were all so loud. And one song sounded like the next.
Lots of band members, especially those who aren’t deaf already, were earplugs during their live performances. They know that the decibel level is way too high for hearing safety!

Moondog is okay with ear damage but he draws the line on beer damage.
