For the record, John Connally was the democrat gov. of Texas and a close ally of LBJ and his great society. He didn’t switch to republican until 1973 to become Nixon’s treasury secretary. @Ominus, go back on your meds, troll

Connally was the author of my favorite Kennedy conspiracy story. He claimed he was the real target that day, that Jack Ruby hired the hitman to get the Gov due to the state crackdown on the Texas mafia. When Oswald misfired, Ruby – dying from cancer – had to take him out, to ensure he did not talk.
