When my wife, who had a condition that made choking common, started choking badly, I called 911, then began repeated attempts with the Heimlich maneuver. Two minutes later, I did manage to clear the obstruction. One minute after that, the first firefighters stepped through the front door. Two minutes later she was flirting with the whole truck crew, even though she could not speak. :)

I did a successful Heine Manuver on a choking victim once…the mortician was happy with it, certainly!
