I “solved” that “issue” one day in seventh grade by almost throwing my tormentor out of a fourth-story window!! It took three nuns to stop me!! After that “incident,” we become the best of friends!! And we still are, to this day!!
I wouldn’t worry, it’s only temporary. One day you will be a 6th grader, and hopefully be an example of how older children should treat younger ones. Then just when you think you have the problem solved, you get yourself a mother in law.
The thing about bullies is, they are often angry with someone who has control over them. Since they can’t fight back, they take their anger out on others. I’m not making excuses for their actions, but it might help if they could get some counseling so that they could understand their actions and, maybe, change their behavior.

A good martial arts course to protect yourself from bullies would be wise.

It starts early. My 3 yo grandson told me the 5 yo bully at his daycare calls him “Poopyhead” and pushes him down.

It’s a family curse and I know that words won’t console you. However, as you don’t act as they do, you are the better person…..

Wilberforce should discuss this matter with his father, I am sure Brutus has had a lot of experience dealing with this sort of thing.

Consider it a character builder. Now you know what not to do.

The bullies I knew as a kid are all good people now. Some are now a friend.

I have a different approach. Give us their names, Wilberforce. We will…..talk…..to them.
