LIO’s relationship with Eva has always been one of unrequited love…he loves her and she wants to kill him…always been that way, since her first appearance. It is a pattern in LIO established in 2006. “Jumping the shark” implies you have done everything already, so you move onto something outrageous in an attempt to keep your audience interested, ala’ Fonzie jumping the shark in HAPPY DAYS. That is not the case here.
So, with all due respect, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
farleftside, you must have been reading some other comic strip. The world is not Lio’s oyster, in fact he’s a loser as often as he’s a winner (and equally funny in both roles). I don’t know who you were thinking of – does John the Conqueror have a comic strip?
Aw, I love this comic strip. It’s the first one I read everyday! I love Lio’s strange little world.
(Mtatulli, sorry for the misunderstanding last week with the ‘Mike & Ike’ strip. I don’t shop the candy aisle and I honestly didn’t know that Mike & Ike was a candy product. Your take on it was quite funny.)

Shark Jumping, farleftside? I understand the concept, but what in Lio is jumping the shark?

I have two comments to make:
Lio got served.
This could be the inspiration for a new country song; “She Played Tennis With My Heart.”
