After all, Trump claimed to be one of the most progressive presidents ever AND actually promoted progressive policies: The First Step Act, renegotiating NAFTA, investing in HBCUs, accelerating generic drug approvals, and the Abraham Accords.

Trump’s progressive initiatives paled in the light of all of Trump’s other failures and short-comings as president. Let’s cheer/condemn actual actions.

Coal is a huge polluter and full of green house gasses, it should be abandoned.

But Vinneth Bajaj did acknowledge coal’s shrinking contribution to global power generation. “At present, 67 percent and 75 percent of the electricity in China and India is generated from coal. Kind of a really, really dumb logic there. Santa, and the entire idea of gift giving at Christmas is progressive, not conservative. You know, that distribute wealth to the many, not just the few, kind of thing.

Oh, I get it. Trump brought back coal by ordering the mines to open.

Conservative mine owners screamed that government has no place in the free market and can’t tell them what to do.

Those that did open hired no workers as mechanization was much less expensive.

And the coal they mined is piled up in mountains because no one will buy it as natural gas is much cheaper, easier to use, and causes less pollution.
