I must be in the slim part. too old for slingshots AND only tried one once when I was younger. I actually use rubber bands for their intended usage – hold stuff together.
Achilles the pocket panther (Wakanda forever!) uses rubber bands as cat toys. Hair bands are fair game as well since they’re covered rubber or silicone bands. He bats them around, then picks them up in his mouth and throws them. He never tries to eat them, but we do watch him. It’s easy to know when to watch because he is so loud.
