We don’t get a Sunday or Monday paper. The Friday night game scores and the Sunday comics and coupons all come in the Saturday edition.

Actually retired people are busier than their working counterparts. There’s all those ’honey do" projects to do that were put off when they were employed.;-D

A retired lady told us she knows it’s Sunday when there’s Kaluha in her morning coffee. :-D

I turn on my tablet and see the time and date on my home screen. I am doubly sure it’s Sunday when I see the Sunday comics online.

I still work. I first open gocomics to Kliban’s Cats. If there’s a new one, it’s Tuesday or Thursday, and those are the days I have to drive to the office. If a newspaper appears, it’s Saturday or Sunday. Other days, it’s Phone Meetings with Wine.

That will be me in just over two months! I’ll know it’s Sunday when we get a video call from our daughter.

For days of the week, it definitely beats a calendar. And really why should I care?….

It’s just a matter of weeks or months before our local paper goes under.

It’s astounding to discover that Thorny “imagines”, you know, anything.

Years ago; and I do mean Years! I lived in Reno, Nevada. (It was a good place to be back then) And Saturday night I could go to the News Stand and get the Sunday morning issue of the San Francisco Examiner. Get up Sunday with coffee and breakfast and spend the entire morning going through that paper. Of course, the comics were always first, then the supplemental Parade magazine (remember that?), then the lifestyle section, news and all the sections I found interesting and/or informative. The Editorial section was always interesting and; back then, I was better able to compartmentalize the liberal opinions and learn their positions. I think that may have been where I developed the ability to see both sides of an argument. Which; as it turns out, can be more curse than blessing. Never the Sports section; never any interest. In any case I miss that paper and I miss those mornings! Gawd! I am OLD!

Not only is the Sunday paper thicker but the Sunday comic strips are always longer or larger.

The Newspaper, even where you can get it delivered, is only the thickness of a napkin, and only delivered on certain days. That’s why I get my comics on-line.
