Huh. I’d have SWORN I saw a very similar cartoon yesterday, complete with the deflating basketball. It was stupid then, so of course  Payneful Henry would choose to duplicate it in his strip.

Stupid Henry Payne tries a diversion when his heroes are crashing and cratering. It’s not effective. You wore this trope out a long time ago, Henry.

As Trump’s chances deflate as fast as the COVID toll increases, poor Lester desperately tries to divert attention away from Trump’s many failures and only ends up highlighting Trump’s racist leanings.

Payne is celebrating again, another Black guy was executed by the cops. He takes great joy in that being Pro Life and all!!

Just like Lisa B., how long has this QUISLING been drinking the Trumpolini Kool-Aid!??

This cartoon demonstrates typical Trump/Republican thinking. What matters is television ratings. What doesn’t matter is doing the correct, moral thing.

The quality of the message is exceeded only by the incredible artistry of this cartoon.

As 51% of the revenue the league generates goes to players, it will be interesting to see how the younger players react if viewership/revenue continues to plummet and they receive millions less than expected.

Apparently Mr. Lester’s followers believe that NBA players wear shorts with OFF THE PIGS embroidered thereon.

I think one reason the Emmys are losing viewers is that most of the nominated shows are from streaming services. There may be great shows that aren’t on the major networks, but most of us can’t afford to pay for all the premium services and have never seen most of those series.

The low ratings of sports and other big events may not just be rejection of political statements by participants, but the disastrous year of pandemic and social dysfunction is making us rethink our cultural priorities. We’ll have have to see where this leads. Especially when blockbuster movies can be released again.

People aren’t watching out of season sports or as much broadcast TV as previously… Many have weened themselves off the non-productive distraction that is sports in general.
