Today’s comic reminds me of a painting I saw in Ireland, called “Himself, Herself.” Very stark, very powerful albeit with two people, not one, sitting in a small one-room house. Still can’t get it out of my mind and I keep trying to find it in a print (it was in a museum).
Sitting on my cigar deck with a snifter of cognac, I love looking out on my world of lake, mountains and forest, plus the sound of a roaring creek in my backyard. Bliss!
It Shocked the Nation … Phenix City, Metropolis of Dropped O’s … Where Maureen O’Hara Woke Up One Morning as “Maureen Hara” … and Her Cheerios Disintegrated in the Bowl!
Margueritem, I saw that painting in 1999, and I’ve still never gotten it out of my head. It’s really powerful in person. (Although you’ve got to go to Ireland to see it!)

Read in the News (not World Weekly News) that Armadillos cause Hansen’s disease (Leprosy) among humans. Next: People who believe everything they read.

The tire-on-window reminded me of this, the longest-running commercial of all time.

jeffc42, I see why the painting stayed in your thoughts.

Colonel Sanders
It is indeed an album cover. Here’s one of many links that explain what’s going on:
