I’m starting to think that Probst is a program, since he/she/it doesn’t ever post any justification for 90% or come up with anything else. Either that, or they only know 6 words.
Jack, you ARE aware of how much it’s going to cost to convert each of those trucks? (about $60k) and that a billion in grants will only “start” the program. NG conversion is NOT cheap, and fracking shale for gas is NOT a proven “safe” technology by any means, in fact, just the opposite is proving true. T.Boone does have some sensible alternative suggestions, but he readily and honestly admits he’s out to make money, and not as “green” as his friend Ted Turner.
Nothing wrong with making an honest buck by the way, but we do need to consider all consequences of our actions.
“Great cartoon, and by the way Brobst did you pay any taxes, or were you one of the 47% who paid nothing,”
Your wording sets you up for failure. Anyone who buys a stick of gum anywhere but on a military base (and anyone who can patronize a military base already pays taxes) pays taxes. Vis a vis, they pay taxes.
You should have said “income taxes.” In which case I would have asked you to say, “47% and businesses” who paid nothing.
^ Only a few businesses paid no taxes. And even then, they still paid taxes via their wages to their employees. They just didn’t pay taxes on their profits.
Corporate tax code, in its most basic form, is pretty simple. If Expenses > Receipts, you owe no taxes due to you losing money. If the reverse is true, you should owe taxes. However, what’s happened is the government has enabled corporations to expense a lot more than they should, or enable corporations to falsley claim more expenses. At this, I say “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.” The player doesn’t deserve to be crucified; the game needs to be fixed.

Guess she can’t afford to have anymore “tired and poor” coming to her shores. Just the rich and motivated.
