All insurance companies are that way. They won’t pay for prevention and when you get sick, they drown you in red tape until you die so they don’t have to pay.

Gee, all you folk who think insurance makes such a killing, I presume your portfolio is full of insurance stock. No? I thought you said they were making a bundle?

Lewreader, .. you’re assuming we have capital enough to afford a portfolio. That would be a luxury for many.

It should. I thought I had read recently that there’s an insurance company that’s moving in that direction. Or maybe it was a company. Or maybe I was dreaming…

Is there any insurance that covers the derogatory affects of insurance on your health and well-being?

Rich, that will prevent falling and breaking a bone, being in an automobile accident, or contracting a communicable disease, right? It will also prevent your being subject to a family history of heart problems, too? And it keeps you from smoking and drinking? What a concept! Does it work as well as sacrificing a lamb every three months?

Health insurance would prefer to pay part of a pair of glasses every year for 50 years rather than pay for lasik surgery, because it’s “experimental”. Dental insurance would rather pay for fillings (and eventual replacement) than pay for preventive coatings, which do work. Go figure.
