Never liked Peeps or Twinkies (well, except for certain occasions in college, but that was decades ago). Cotton candy was okay when I was in grade school; lost its appeal somewhere after that. And we even had a cotton candy machine at home (don’t ask why) - worked really well and was fun - but murder to clean up.
Having run the cotton candy making booth at the fire department I used to ride with for Mardi Gras parades, I have no desire to ever eat the stuff, nor come in contact with it again in my lifetime. If they wanna bury me with it (or cremate me with it actually) I won’t care. But consciously, I’ll avoid it unless one of my darling granddaughters asks for it. It’s fun getting the grandkids hopped up on sugar and sending them home muahahahahaha!!!!
I remember my first time at the circus. It was so cool watching the cotton candy being made. It was so disappointing when I ate it. An apt metaphor for the entire circus experience.

Cotton candy is a real disappointment and sticky too!
I’ve found that my love of it has lapsed over the years. Same with Peeps.

Peeps are only fun in the microwave or a tub of water… whoever would have thought you could eat them?

As we age we lose our taste for pure sugar. Cotton candy is like taking a cup of sugar and easting it raw.. Peeps are almost the same.
