Dj, I thought Clinton was too far right, and gave into the GOP too often as well. He, like Obama, was a corporate-friendly centrist, which is one reason why the GOP hated him so much – he targeted their major contributors and raised money as they did.
If you look at the Obameter (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-broken/), it’s interesting how many of the “Promises Broken” category were things most of his supporters considered fundamental (e.g., #177, 446, 456, 518) - and him as well. And how many of the ones he broke are suspiciously kind to corporations.

Clinton was the greatest republican president in my lifetime.
though obama may take that title by the end of his second term.
