I am having another night of “no sleep”. Between air conditioner and fans my skin is so dry all I do is scratch myself to bits. So third night in a row with very little sleep. Today I have both bathrooms to clean too. Hope I get at least 2 hours for energy. Wish me luck.
I worked 3rd shift (11pm to 7am) for 5 years and adjusted to it so well that even 25 years later I can stay up through the night without blinking if I’m not careful.
Not sure when it gets dark – but when I go to sleep at 5 am these days the sun is coming up. We stay up much later these years than when we were younger and had to got to work in the morning.

That’s why I love winter. It gets dark so early, I don’t feel guilty going to bed at 8. LOL

I am not sleeping in my chair! I was just resting my eyes for a moment.

Should I be concerned that I look like an old fogey in the winter?

I know old fogies who turn in at sunset and rises at sunrise.Other people wait until nightfall arrives before thinking about turning in

We live in the country and no one stops by unannounced anymore. As long as we don’t answer the phone sounding groggy, no one has to know.

Just own it. We go to bed when we’re ready; the positioin of the sun has nothing to do with it!

I’ll only believe they’re outside in the summer if they’re swatting mosquitoes.

Best not turn the light on then and lose the deniability.

Sorry, Arlo..but if you are even thinking about bed near 8 pm, and it isn’t tied to a job…your an old fogie.
