Funny… but not really fully fair. The fact he’s already deployed more than 200 Tomahawk missiles and air support is evidence that he is at least standing on something.
He might also be standing IN something and be full of it too… but that’s another toon altogether.
^^ There is such a thing as Analysis Paralysis. I think that’s what’s going on here. Make a decision and stick to it.
@ War: You mean like he did in Afghanistan? “We’re going to surge our troop levels, but we’ll be out by July!” I saw an article headline of something like, “We’re sending in covert troops.” Not very covert if you announce it to the world!
They change, but the decision to do something shouldn’t. Example: I’m going to lose weight. I make that decision, I should hold firm on that decision regardless of what happens, short of being shot or crippled.
Another (dynamic) example: I’m going to raise my children to be responsible adults. You have an end goal and you stick to it. Your definition of responsible may be different than mine, but you stick to your guns on trying to make sure that child does the best they can.
My point is a) don’t make promises you can’t keep and b) once you do make them, stick to them.
I guess my moral compass is more rigid than some others; I give my word, and I hold to it, no matter how much those circumstances change. Do or die.
Mr. Obama is insufficiently reluctant to go to war. Somebody a long time ago once said that it is much easier to get into a war than to get out of one. Even if a war is universally acknowledged to be inevitable, it should be postponed as long a possible.

Let’s tell our enemies what we’re planning. That way they can be prepared.
