If only we’d use such precision targeting. National leaders tend to be leery of that can of worms, though. It could become fashionable.

There is evidence that suggests that the Iranians a were responsible and not the Libyans. The Iranians did it in response to the shooting down of an Iranian PASSENGER plane by the US Navy. At the time we needed them onside for the Gulf War so it was convenient to blame Libya. You’ll not have heard this in the USA as your mistakes are never publicised.
