Katy, first check with an otoscope to see if there’s any daylight. That way you’ll know how much pressure you’ll need to blast the cobwebs and dust out of there.
I’m thinking it can make it worse. With the hose down what you get is soggy surly spiders and mud. I would suggest a vacuum but I guess that would be redundant.
