I know this is a strip about talking animals.

But this week’s arc, Monday through Thursday at least, could have been just as good, if not better, if it was just the cops and the little old lady – no color commentary from the bushes.

Some of the best comics don’t have words.

However, making the issues surrounding lack of accountability by police and the appropriateness of their tactics into one of race is unlikely to get us to solve the actual problems.

I just hope that someday we can return to our regular lives.
