This only hit him now… meanwhile for decades the blacks have been seeking justice, they have been losing jobs, they have been stopped from voting when they should have been able to, they have been tortured, killed, kept in poverty and humiliation, and as far back as Nixon it has been admitted that the “war on drugs” was really an excuse for imprisoning as many black people as possible. If they had been treated decently, and if people like this man had not simply turned a blind eye to what was happening, none of this would have taken place. But hey, go ahead and blame the victims – so much easier than taking responsibility for any of it!

I saw that a group of Mennonites were in Minneapolis protesting the killing of George Floyd. How racist are you when a group of white people stuck in the 1800’s say you’re too racist?

The looters are just taking advantage of a situation. They are not the real protestors. What is being protested is important. We should not let the looters distract from that.

Where is the justice…. it’s certainly not hiding in a bunker or doing ridiculous photo-ops.

There is no justice. That is the point. It is truly sad that the shop owner had to have his face rubbed in it, to realize it.

Sadly.. collateral damage. Those responsible for the “condition” that created the mess seldom pay. “They” hide in bunkers.. have gestapo for protection.. “They” have lawyers to protect them from any possible involvement.. and an AG to change/interpret any silly laws that need fixing. This.. is, America.

In another (1980s) life, I had a beautiful home just 1 1/2 blocks from the beach in Surf City, CA (Huntington Beach). At the instant of any post-sundown power outage, one could hear the whoops and hollers of young white dudes arise. It was street riot time. Things were always extra dicey on the 4th of July – fires in intersections, bottle rocket battles endangering shake-roofed homes, running battles with police. Thing is, those young, white miscreants weren’t protesting ANYthing. Just taking advantage of a situation.

It’s not a black thing – and they have far more about which to be in the streets.

When acts are perpetuated for hundreds of years and those most affected see these acts repeated over and over while those who can stop them don’t, rage occurs.

Yeah, Mike, the riots destroyed the local stores because there was no police presence, but look on the bright side, the police protected Target.

My family’s restaurant caught fire in the Minneapolis protests. Let it burn.

The anger of our community and of the protests here is undeniable. More than that, it is understandable. Yes, it is always painful to see destruction of any kind, and it hurts in particular to see something you worked so hard for become cinder and ash overnight. I support peaceful protest above all — look at our restaurant’s namesake — and I don’t mean for my family to promote violence. But after the flash of pain, it is important to name what is happening to cause this in the first place, and to empathize with the fury and frustration of the people it’s happening to.

The protests and the violence and the fires will stop once we’re rid of this system that oppresses, and maims, and kills people like George Floyd. So let it burn.

The way I see it, the disproportionate police crackdown on peaceful protesters has caused lots of chaos, which gave looters the opportunity to loot business and cause even more damage. The looters and vandals themselves are also diametrically opposed to the protesters, as seen by protesters sometimes forming human shields outside of stores to keep them from being harmed. As much as we’ve seen the worst of our country during this time, we’ve also seen the best in the American people.

Quote from a woman who’s restaurant was burnt down in Minneapolis

“I know I can’t come back from this, but this can be replaced. [George Floyd’s] life cannot. George’s life was more important. That man that got killed in the most inhumane way. I hope he gets justice.”

Ramirez has spilled a lot of ink about the injustice of property destruction, and none at all about the injustice of depriving Mr. Floyd of his very life. That speaks volumes in itself, and more than disqualifies any opinions he may have on the matter.

Ramirez and the other Trump Disciples salivate over the opportunity for the military gassing and shooting protesters.

There will be no accountability. None. In addition to no one knowing where the orders originated, it was obvious that those in body armor and gas masks, and were heavily armed, felt threatened.

I feel sorry for the small businesses, mom&pop stores, family businesses hit by the rioting and looting by anarchists and criminals; not the protesters.

It’s not “supposed” to be about justice, it is about justice. Conservatives love to talk about “bad apples”, well, Ramirez, the “bad apples” that caused the damage have nothing to do with the peaceful protesters an their demands for justice. Sheesh, pick one side or the other.

In the face of all the evidence showing that 95% of the people looting and burning were confirmed to not be protesters, and the other 5% not being confirmed as protesters, this right wing jerk is still trying to blame the protesters.

Yet CNN and MSNBC and the big networks love the riots and the footage they air while complaining about equality. Besides the Antifa whites, I see only Black criminals there.
