Racism has to be taught… Children learn by listening and watching their parents and peers…. it starts young… lasts until end of life unless???…confronted!!!…unless an effort is made to stop the racists.
Kaepernick sacrificed his career with his peaceful demonstration against racial profiling brutality by the police. he should go down in history as an activist for justice. But there are so many who have giving up so much to try to stop the injustice. Enough! No more police brutality!
Not all cops are racist. But the circumstances they work in… including racist co-workers tend to make them racist. It’s actually broader than that: They become very much a mutual admiration/protection society in which they’re the “us” and everyone else is the “them”. This wouldn’t be such a problem if they weren’t armed… if our society still regarded them as being protectors, and we showed it…
Of course, a very similar discussion applies to blacks, asians, gender-“unusual” people, intellectuals…
There used to be a “literacy test” that was slanted against black voters. What if we could revive that, but with a bias test? Say, if you have made statements or actions that show you to be a racist, you are not allowed to vote? Too bad the President wouldn’t be able to vote then, nor many Congresscritters.
Here’s the difference… George Floyd gets killed for passing a counterfeit $20 bill…. but Casey Kelley passes a counterfeit check to buy a turbo Porsche, he gets “transported and booked”

Maybe some day, but I don’t expect to see it at my advance age.

We know the two constants in life are death and taxes. The first is more likely if you are black and confronted by police or Covid-19.

There is no vaccine, but if there was justice racism might be less blatant.
