The MAGAt response to the “cruel and unjust” restrictions on their freedoms for trivialities such as saving their lives and the lives of others is truly astonishing, but is nonetheless about as American as apple pie and wage disparity. After all, the U.S. is one of only 3 countries in the entire world that is incapable of adopting the metric system, and limitations on the types of light bulbs that one is allowed to buy were met with outcry and the rending of garments. (“Oh, the humanity!”) Yes, the economic consequences of stay-at-home measures are dire and, for a lot of people, calamitous. But how many of the assault weapon-yielding tRumpholes that staged near-coups actually had their financial well-being put at risk? In reality, tRump is pretty apt as an American icon – even the most minute effort to do something that benefits others is far beyond far too many Americans. “I have to be aware enough of what I’m doing AND move my fingers a few inches in order to signal my turns when I’m driving?! That’s too much to ask! tRump you!” “You want me to put trash and recyclable materials in separate containers? That’s too hard! tRump you!” tRump is likely the worst thing to ever happen to this country, and I doubt we’ll survive him. But he’s about what we deserve.

It should be noted (Trump evidently doesn’t “get” this) that in order to have a successful “reopening” the American people must have (1) some expectation of successfully avoiding the “Trump Virus” pandemic and (2) some small amount of money to spend.

Trust me, nobody (intelligent) is just standing at the mall doors with a fistful of money just itching to go in, possibly get unknowingly infected (very little verifiable testing being done) and spend any money that has ALREADY been spent for food and shelter

So Donny Littlehands is threatening to sign an executive order Thursday to shut down any social media platform that dares to fact-check his bald-faced lies. He’s claiming doing so will protect free speech.

I eagerly await fresh babble from the usual idiot and his sock-puppet brigade trying to defend this.
