Yeah right, lets play baseball in the snow. Opening day is too early and season lasts way too long. 40 years ago wasn’t opening day in late April? Playing bball when the temp is in the 40s is so stupid. That is Football weather!
i’m with The Ol Goaler on this one. we always started playing ball as soon as enough snow melted to see where home plate was. i agree the season seems to drag if your team isn’t in the race, but i’ve been waiting for this since the World Series ended. OK Blue Jays. Let’s play ball. (tomorrow)
They play more games in baseball for the same reason that they will play more games in football (18) – GREED! The owners & players will expand the revenue stream as long as the fools (er Fans) will keep paying.
