Actually, it’s the TEA party that should have been serving Metamucel cookies with Ex-Lax chips to clear their minds. The only real snakes in that grass are called “eternal tax cuts to sway the idiot minds” and “defense”.
for years i’ve been saying the clinton was the greatest republican president in my lifetime. the republicans get kinda a sick nauseated look on their face when i say that.
you make a fine case for obama being a republican as well.
^Sad but increasingly true, danny. And it shows how the GOP has become entirely an attack organization when Obama puts forth Republican plans (like Romneycare) and still gets hammered for it.
I’m thinking the Liberals are calling Dem Prez Clinton and Obama “Republicans” because they do not go flat out total SOCIALIST in their governing plans?
We Americans have suffered decades of Fabianism….slow, seeping Socialism….
fennec, compromise is at the heart of politics. I never thought Obama was more than a centrist anyway, but the longer he goes, the more he begins to resemble Bush in his actions. Listening to everyone and then giving in to the GOP is not “compromise.” He seems unwilling to assert the very views he campaigned upon, and then chides his supporters when they call him on it. Even when he had a majority, he was incapable of mobilizing it against a noisy minority.
It’s about the action, not the thought. If he comes up with the same answers as the previous administration, the thought behind it is irrelevant.

fennec - agree that he does not resemble Bush in terms of his behaviors; in some ways Obama is the polar opposite. Bush listened to no one; Obama listens to people he shouldn’t. But the very things he campaigned on - closing Gitmo, increasing the “sunshine” on secrets, reducing the violations of civil rights, protecting the American worker - he doesn’t even seem to be addressing! Had Bush coasted through a third term, how different would our actions be?

I, for one, would like to see Chaney in prison. (“W” is too retarded to stand trial.)

^Republicans are looking for a leader, Democrats are looking for a place to hold a meeting.

no doubt, whether you agree with him or not, obama is a great president.
