Could also be the UN, for all the gumption and firepower they have.

    Shall we bomb them, then?

    HA! Nice one Nick.

^ you really mean, should we as a collective body of moral people allow innocent people vying for some concept of freedom to be mercilessly bombed by a maniacal narcissistic dictator who has lost the support of his people (which he is killing)?

    Your turn.

Dj, the emphasis is the question. Should WE, the American people, allow this? If so, where do we stop? Are we then going to bomb Iran, China, Vietnam, Singapore? And then ourselves, for just that behavior? And should we be the only ones?

Since it’s Europe’s supply of oil that is affected maybe, just once, Europe could do something without us…but then who would they criticize when things didn’t go perfectly?

The question still applies, churchill. Should we the US participate in an international effort? Recent efforts have been mostly our soldiers.

    I’ll speak for myself here.

Just like in Iraq and Afghanistan, WE, the US will do the heavy lifting in any combat. Sure, our allies contribute but, let’s get real, just look at how many US dead compared to our allies in our two wars.

So, shall we bomb them then? And then what?

While taking a moral stand is admirable in principle, I think we’ve got enough on our plate right now.
