We have the nuts in our country clamoring for the same thing. Having us go charging in, is their solution to all foreign problems. Same old white geezers time after time who if they had to do the actual fighting and dying wouldn’t be so bellicose.

My father, a navy man who retired in 1952, said that some of our allies (and others) referred to us as Uncle Sucker.

The US has both hands busy in Iraq and Afghanistan. If there is to be a military intervention, Europe should take care of most of it.

The same Americans who say we should spend billions invading Libya wouldn’t be the same ones screaming about how awful government spending is, would they?

I’m not sure Gaddafi started the fire. Who are those “rebels” anyway?

LIkewise find Gadaffi disgusting, but blaming HIM for starting the fire?? Secondly, I think there is far more danger here at home from the “sovereign” movement and other radical right groups than from Islam, OPEC, or other “tooth fairy” threats the right has identified.

The idea, as always with oppressive regimes, is to use fear of the “other” to distract citizens from the problems being caused by the same regime members. Works every time, especially with Fear Inc.’s exports to Faux News and its ilk.

It is morally imperative that we intervene in Libya NOW! It’s nearly time for Haliburton, KBR and Xi (Blackwater) to issue their quarterly reports to their stockholders.

Yup, those other wars are only costing 190 million bucks per DAY. We need to spend more money solving other folks problems – so we don’t have to solve any of our own. The deficit was caused almost entirely by the Obama admin being more honest and actually including the wars in the budget – something the Bush admin refused to do all the time he was in office.

Alternatively, stop your unconditional support for that slow-burning colonial enterprise almost next door…

This is exactly what I was talking about.

Yes, a lot of the world is more than happy for the USA to be the their policemen.

    You nailed it Pat!
