I wonder if any of these impatient people, who find sheltering-in-place such a impositional, inconvenient, and just a “devious political ploy to make the administration look bad,” ever consider that there are people who are always housebound due to infirmity, illness, age, or other circumstances? I know a number of pre-covid shut-ins. They need help now too, as their normal support chains and mechanisms are breaking down. I’ll bet, Henry, there’s somebody you could help within a 2-mile radius. Oh wait. There is no profit in it, so just never mind.
My kids are more than happy to stay home, but they are of a different generation than Payne… which he doesn’t understand. They just accepted this because they had the option to move to an online world. I’m not happy with the amount of time in front of a screen… but I make them play in the yard and get exercise too.

OK. Driving gets you out of the house and the car (windows rolled up please†) keeps your Covid-19 to yourself, if you should happen to have it.
OR, how about we all get tested even if we don’t have symptoms. Because science.
† I see that this car doesn’t have its roof up. How about today you use the mom-van instead.

Yes…. cuz in Hank’s “Leave it to Beaver” world…. everyone waits for the man of the house to decide if they can “go for a ride.”

Leave that car parked. Take a walk. Both are better for you and your environment.

Perhaps Payne should drive to the Canadian border and insist that he is “essential!”
