I really don’t want to look at my IRA, but I have to if I’m going to gamble on certain companies. A lot of the hot air has leaked out of the stock market. The question is, has enough? Along with the question as to whether the U.S. economy will survive at all.

Retirement programs and 401Ks are taking a beating. Wouldn’t it have been nice if the ORANGE TOAD had spent some of his time planning a response to the COVID 19 virus instead of finding different ways to say it’s A Democratic Hoax. Show the Toad that American lives are NO HOAX! V O T E B L U E!

Trump wants a holiday on the payroll tax; then the republicans will say we can’t afford Medicare and Social Security, just like they did after passing the tax cut for the rich in 2018.

Matt’s ’toon gives us the most solid reason to NOT privatize Social Security. If the Repubs do it in 2021, and the economy tanks in 2023, you can bet the farm that Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, etc, get bailed out, but not our funds!

The problem with having Social Security investing in the stock market (Mikefive was correct in stating that, INITIALLY, only 10% was to be invested in the market) wasn’t that it was the government investing in the stock market – this would be bad in ways that the average American can’t even conceive – it was that there was NO SAFTEY NET involved!

In other words, the republican plan called for Social Security to be involved in the stock market with no guarantee that the government would step in if the value of your investment dropped below a certain level – this negated the entire idea behind the “Security” in Social Security!

I used to ask just how stupid did republicans think the American public WAS – but then they elected Donald John Trump as president and I had my question summarily answered – not about how stupid they thought WE were but exactly how STUPID they were!

Anyone ‘moronic’ enough to think electing Donnie John was a good idea really needed a permanent “live-in” caretaker!

Rethugicans really want you to keep working, straight up until you die. Remember, only the already wealthy need time off to enjoy life because they deserve it so much more than you do and they got both parties in their pockets.
