    Better get used to it. There will only be more coming down the road. That’s simple basic biology. The question is will the global community get together enough to have a coherent unified response? Naw, probably not, since we can’t even get together to deal with AGW…

    Who knew? Well, anyone paying attention to outbreaks could guess. Where did ebola come from? Eating animals from the jungles, like monkeys. Zika? Monkeys had it first.

    And the Chinese have a history of eating pretty much anything. (Yeah, I know frequent famines will do that.) And they are prone to making up magical powers for their foods. (OK, done in the West, too. Paleo diet anyone? Bats for Breakfast? )

    So far, it’s actually pretty nearly, sorta, contained to China. Lets hope it stays that way.
