Oh, yes, OF COURSE—I should have known, what Patty’s reason for “feeling compelled to believe Linus’ far-fetched tale” was so she could get a new baseball glove(at first I didn’t see the connection-now I do, because, again, the Great Pumpkin is supposed to be the Santa Claus of Halloween.) Well, if so, then why would the GP be so “sensitive,” as Linus claims him to be, about children asking him for what they want, for Halloween? Typical mad(as in crazy, or insane)theologian; Linus would even make a good typical mad scientist.

Linus is just looking for a scapegoat to blame when the Great Pumpkin fails to show up yet again.
