Marcie and Peppermint Patty carry trays with food. Marcie says, "Golly, sir, it's great to see you at camp again this year." Peppermint Patty says, "Stop calling me 'Sir'!"<BR><BR> Marcie and Peppermint Patty sit at the table and eat. Marcie says, "Do you remember me? My name is Marcie . . . We were in the same tent last year." Peppermint Patty says, "Of course I remember you . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues, "As soon as I saw you get off the bus, I said, 'Well, if it isn't what's-her-face!'"<BR><BR> Marcie smiles and says, "I appreciate your remembering me, sir . . ." Peppermint Patty says, "Stop calling me 'Sir'!"<BR><BR>

The second time PP and Marcie meet at summer camp.(Marcie joined the strip the year before, when she and PP met each other for the first time at summer camp, on 7/20/1971.) As of yet she was still only a part-time character; she would appear in the strip with full consistency by fall 1973.
