    Creative and entertaining inferred (and not illogical) definition employed by Schorr. Pierpoint is doing his best to employ conventions in the construction of English words and grammar. I remember being confused as a child that since “consistent” and “inconsistent” meant opposite things then why did “flammable” and “inflammable” mean the same thing. We had learned about prefixes and the prefix “in” negated the root word as did the word “not” and that combining two negatives produced a double negative which negated one another. Schorr has cleverly combined these two language conventions. I wonder if he had similar learning experiences as a child.

    Do not use words of more than two syllables with Pierpoint, and certainly not one including ‘fat’.
