I always try to understand where someone is coming from, what line of thought they’re following, no matter how foreign to my own; what life experience or philosophy could cause them to say things. I can usually associate/empathize enough to get it (except some people whose insides are obviously so gross you don’t WANT to empathize). But I gotta say, the “Mexico will pay” was so utterly bizarre, so completely unenforceable, so LUDICROUS I didn’t even try. Now, the people who bought INTO that…no, never mind. They’re just as bizarre.
I would like to point out that Trump would be completely justified (in his own mind, of course) to attempt the take-over of Britain!
Remember one of his “justifications” for his “butt-buddy” Putin invading and annexing Crimea was that they spoke the same language – well, guess what? So does Britain and America! (though I suspect I would get some argument from both sides, there.)
On the whole, however, I’d prefer Britain to take over America (again) – though that might be a bit like Jonah swallowing the whale. Maybe this time they could get it right, however – the last time it was approached from a position of arrogance, this time they could try a little humility – they could learn it from us since we do it so well! (/S) (note the “s” is a capital letter, here)

Maybe it’s a race to see whether Trump will trash the U.S. quicker than Boris will trash Britain.
