Shades of the “Domino Theory” about Communism in Southeast Asia. Our theory and our involvement there worked out so well.

So far, the extemists seem to be sitting it out. Probably just to make liars of the powers that be who are used to using that as an excuse. They’ll be back.

    Even if it was true.

When a nation’s peace and order depend on the oppression of other nations, is it really worth being preserved?

Israel IS the heavily armed and aggressive state blocking the way to peace with their own arrogance and seizure of land that is NOT theirs! “Radical Islam” IS INDEED a problem, but radical Zionists and radical “Christian Zionists” fan the flames, they do NOT “cool the fires”. What right do a few million of one faith have to control several BILLION of other faiths? Given how many folks live outside the “faiths” founded in the bible, what right do those “believers” have to dictate to the rest of the planet.

Exactly what makes destruction of all life on Earth a sane, rational, or moral, teaching?

“Radical Zionism” in 1917 wasn’t even supported by the majority of Jews, it was sold to the British by a minority group. When the Ottoman Empire “fell”, British and French, with American support double-crossed the Arabs (It wasn’t a “muslim thing”) repeatedly and the Palestine British Protectorate didn’t even work very well, then after WW II, the U.N. “created” Israel- from a broken deal, and lands promised in large part to others. Europeans drew the post war map of the Middle East,(WW I, and WW II) not the people of the Middle East, and THAT is the REAL problem we’re still dealing with today, and it is NOT in actuality a “religious thing” so much as an “Empire Thing”.

Bruce: Fear of a “world Caliphate” ranks up there with “War of the Worlds”– ET won’t be phoning home, so relax.

One has to be a child-like naive to believe that radical Islam is not / will not be a major factor in any Arab ‘revolution’. Vice President’s meeting with the outlawed Islamic Brotherhood is telling. In-spite of the recent propaganda to the contrary, this is the mother lode of Islamic militancy and terror - they are the once who killed Sadat and tens of Western tourists at Egypt antiquities, which is why every western tourist group is provided uniformed and undercover armed protection - I have experienced this first hand a couple of years ago.

The relatively recent experiences in Iran, Gaza Strip and the pending resolution of the Sudan ‘revolution’, where a heretofore exiled militant mullah has just returned from London, should give us some indication …

World-wide caliphate? Oh, please! Yes, some muslims want to conquer the World. But even if all of them had that opinion, I don’t think they would have the powers. Even european colonial powers couldn’t convert all of the world to a single religion!

EVERY “bible religion”, and sub-set thereof wants total dominance of human populations. The Muslim Brotherhood is confused with lots of other groups, and the propaganda screws it up. Now Jehovah’s Witness, Mormon, Baptist, Roman Catholic, et al, no confusion among these groups at all.
