Val: Phil's coming over with pizza and a movie. Holly: Cool! What are we watching? Val: WE'RE not watching anything. It's a school night. Holly: NO FAIR! Val: Nobody ever said life was fair. Holly: That is such a COP-OUT! Holly: I mean, um... Val: You know what is AMAZINGLY fair? Me pretending I didn't hear that.

I don’t really get why she’s so embarrassed. Yeah, Phil’s a cop, but cop-out has never been an insult to cops.

You’ve got foot-in-mouth disease, Holly, and it’s a bad case. The only remedy is a big dose of a new drug called Lipglue. Apply to both lips, clamp together and email if there are any unwanted side effects.

I wouldn’t call that fair. I would call that generous, on Val’s part.

If he chose the movie, she probably wouldn’t want to see it anyway!

Holly is really not good with maintaining a brain-mouth filter. Then again, not many teenagers are.

Holly’s right. Just becuase she’s the mom doesn’t mean it ain’t a cop-out.

This is strange I thought I posted a comment. I believe I said Holly you didn’t really say anything wrong with cop-out. Mom just go with it. I think that is what I said earlier. You need a sense of humor. Holly just be glad your eatting a pizza. You have school work to do.
