Sally could give Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes a run for his money when it comes to being lazy and just making stuff up for a school report!

Reminds me of an Eng Lit test in college. I remember writing among other things, “It is a good thing that Dr Arnold died before the invention of Tupperware; if he hadn’t, it is most probable he would have died soon after.” The prof wrote in the margin: “Bologna, pure and unadorned!” but I passed anyway.

At least she didn’t mention Kuzco, Yzma, and Kronk.

I thought she would write something about the Incas inventing Ink.

I heard they were Inca-pacitated…

For a little girl of about 6, she’s surprisingly smart. I didn’t learn about the Inca until 5th grade. And, I’m sure she managed to put a smile on her teacher’s face with the motel facilities remark. Since we really don’t know why the Inca civilization ended, having bad motels is as good a reason as any.

Still eating Snicker Snacks for breakfast, I see.

Funny coincidence, as I started reading this comic, I glanced over at the clock, and it was…7 o’clock…

This means the Inca civilization fell because Tom Bodett didn’t leave a light on for them.

Did not catch that “Tom Bodett” pop culture reference, thank heavens. Had to look it up.

Inkas were a dominant class of Quechua people, who developed at South America before europeans invaded the continent. Their empire reached Peru, Bolivia and Chile at least.

Read a book, girl.

I remember writing a few of these in school. Great minds think alike!

Sally’s last-minute effort reminds me of Holden Caulfield’s “essay” on the Egyptians which received a failing grade from his history teacher at Pencey Prep.

I guess that also explains why the dinosaurs aren’t here now.
