How many vacation days has Obama taken in comparison to previous Presidents? Anyone have the facts?

Mark Knoller keeps close track of presidential activities. Keep in mind also that the President is never really on “vacation” but always has a contingent of advisers and secretaries around and is pretty much always working. He just gets to do it in more pleasant surroundings sometimes. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20014132-503544.html

No one can’t make a decent assesment of your midterm achievements because nobody knows about them. Your press secretary is a mealy mouth and doesn’t bother telling people about your achievements. Instead he worries about what the people on Fraud News say about your administration and is always on the defensive. No one knows they got a tax cut BEFORE this new spending took place. No one knows that you increased PELL grants. No one knows the true details about the Health Insurance Reform (for example putting and end to recision practices) that was passed.

In short no one knows anything about you other than what the guys at Fraud News are saying.

Well according to Ress’ link, Bush takes Obama in the Vacation Slam Down 102-38. If you take the Camp David bonus into account then 225-70. So one more heapin’ pile of right wing spin taken care of.

Look folk’s Obama has turned out to be just another political jackbleeep, but with a prettier facade. But jackbleeep he remains.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the tiny margin he won by, a margin that just happens to coincide nicely with the numer of independent voters who chose his as the lesser bleeep in the barn.

There is strong indication that next time around they either won’t vote for him, and if the repubs do something stupid and send in rabid jackbleeep, then the independents simply won’t cast a vote…either way Obama loses.

^ the doldrums of moronic commentary.

The fact is that Obama was inaugurated like the captain of a dodgeball team, that nobody would stand with against the opponents. It is the failing of too many Democrats and the “twit factor” of too many Republicans in the “Congress”, that have turned a game into a spectator sport more like the Roman circus.

It’s risky to draw conclusions at half time.

@DD: “TINY margin he won by?” I hope you are being facetious.

DD: “Obama, D-Ill., won by a 6-point margin in the popular vote, 52 percent to 46 percent, over Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. He eclipsed President George W. Bush’s 2004 record to win more votes than any other individual in American history. Some 62,438,115 people cast their ballots for him. “As we had predicted in UPI Analysis, Obama’s margin of victory was far wider than almost all pundits had expected. McCain trailed him by more than 7 million votes. He got only 55,380,169 – around 6 million less than Bush did in his 2004 re-election win. Obama therefore won a commanding victory margin three and a half times larger than Bush’s in 2004.” - UPI http://www.upi.com/news/issueoftheday/2008/11/05/Obama-Dems-win-historic-blowout-victory/UPI-40391225895936/

“You are correct, Mr. Ress. But posters like Jase will always want to say Bush took sooooooo many vacations.”

Excuse you? I didn’t name ANY specific previous President to make the comparison against NOR did my comment CRITICIZE any previous President for taking “too much” vacation time. I asked for a factual comparison of Obama to previous Presidents. Compare him against Clinton, Regan or Carter if you want, I only asked for a FACTUAL comparison. I didn’t make this about Bush. Don’t put words in my mouth.

I’ll take that as you don’t have one.
