This is a nightmare. Not for the country but for liberals. Think about how anything from the liberal agenda gets done. Most of it has been through court victories because the federal courts for a number of years have been left-leaning. The liberals have not won enough at the ballots to push their agenda through congress. Hell, other than Obamacare, Barry accomplished very little through congress. The rest of his wins largely came through the courts and executive orders (which are easily undone in most cases, as we’ve seen). Trump is about to seat his second conservative justice on the supreme court and before he’s out of office (by votes, impeachment, or whatever) he’ll have moved the needle on the lower courts. Unless the dems can grab the majority after the mid-terms, expect more policy wins for republicans and less liberal wins in the fed courts.

Dems have been bringing a knife to a gunfight for years. 3,000,000 emails from W’s administration lost. 30,000 of Hillary’s are .01% of that. 4 year investigation of $200,000 Whitewater real estate deal led to a 4 year investigation. Trump? Not so much. Kavanaugh was reaching out to line up Ramirez a photo and favorable testimony in July. Under oath he claimed he first learned of it on September 23rd in The New Yorker article. Witness tampering and perjury. Not a peep from Dems. Personally I believe the highly permeable Democratic emails were hacked and that the GOP released Ford’s identity to weaponize it as a Democratic leak/hit piece. It’s ridiculous.

Republicans delayed or blocked every nominee Obama put forward, even ones that the Repubs had previously supported. Several nominees were approved unanimously once they finally came up for a vote, showing that the Repubs were delaying strictly for partisan reasons. There were so many openings on the courts that it was declared an emergency by the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts. District openings doubled from the beginning to the end of Obama’s presidency. McConnell and the Repubs are filling up judicial openings as quickly as they can, many of them rated “not qualified” by the ABA and some of them had never even served any time in a court room in ANY capacity.
