I’ve had the same problem with books. I thoroughly enjoyed the initial Dragonlance trilogy, was very pick and choose with the rest of the franchise. Mainly just the Raistlin backstory. Likewise, I don’t know if I’d like the two following the original Enders Game.

Yes, This is one of those sequel that ruins the franchise if you did read the book.
