This is pretty sad. I hate to see a dog chained up like that. Either have a fenced yard or dont have a dog. Just my opinion

You’re assuming that the dog hasn’t jumped or climbed or dug under the fence numerous times already. Sometimes a minimally restrictive chain along a clothesline or something of that nature is the kindest thing you can do for them.

chains are a nessacary evil but you can make the chain long as possible put a dog house under a shady spot leave lots of food and water and dont leave them out longer than you have to i have a dog that escapes so when im at work this is what happens soon as i get home he gets a walk and to come inside

We treat our pets like one of the family. They have to learn right from wrong just like a child. You wouldn’t chain your child, although the News has stated otherwise.

Dogs don’t belong chained up OR left in a fenced in yard. They should be taken for long walk 3 to 4 times a day. If you town has one and you dog is not aggressive take them to a dog park where they can run.

Dogs need freedom. Make your garden escape proof
